studio interactive is a forum for high school students interested in architecture and the critical process. Sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, Birmingham Chapter, studio i gives students a chance to interact with others as they participate in the events we have scheduled for the 2008-2009 season.
Our first meeting will be a time to get to know each other as we introduce this year's schedule. This year we have some exciting, new events that will streach your minds and creative abilities. There will be a pumpkin carving competition judged by local architects, a visit to a local construction site, and then the real fun begins!
Barkitecture is the annual fundraiser for the local Humane Society. You will be designing dog houses of which one or two will be chosen for studio i to construct and enter in the auction to raise money for the Humane Society.
A road trip to the world-famous Rural Studio will end the year with a bang as some of you move to college, while others look forward to the next great season of studio i. For more information regarding the upcoming season of studio i, please contact:
